Skiing at the Mall of Emirates
A popular destination for all ages to get together with friends, the Mall of Emirates is another icon of Dubai. Among other things, it features a cinema, aquarium, shopping, dining, a waterfall and an Olympic sized ice rink. However, it is undoubtedly the indoor ski resort which makes this place stand out. At Ski Dubai guests can go snowboarding and skiing, along with other wintery activities. So even in the middle of one of the hottest countries in the world, you can go skiing down the slopes.
Gold Souk
Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend but gold is just as nice. Gold Souk is the place to go in Dubai if you love gold and shopping. Also referred to as the Dubai Gold Market, you will find a vast array of gold jewellery, gemstones, spices, textiles and many others. Haggling is essential and you may find yourself picking up a few bargains. Come in the evening when it looks truly impressive.
Desert Safari
A desert safari should not be passed up on when you visit Dubai. Go racing across the sand dunes at sunrise, exploring the Arabian Desert and its unique beauty. You can try your hand at sand-boarding, trekking across on camel back and even go quad biking. In the evening, experience a real desert BBQ around a camp fire, watch belly dancers and gaze up at the stars.
The Burj Khalifa: ‘At The Top’
The Burj Khalifa is undoubtedly the heart and pride of Dubai. It is the tallest building in the world, located in downtown Dubai and is so much more than just a simple building to look at from a distance. Surrounded by markets, stores, malls and restaurants, inside the Burj Khalifa there is an endless supply of entertainment and experiences. However, it is the 124th floor where most people head to. Referred to as “At the Top”, the observation terrace offers 360 degree panoramic views over the city and the Arabian dessert.
Afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab
The Burj Al Arab is one of the most recognisable hotels across the world but it is far more than a simple hotel. This is luxury, pure and simple. With its fleet of Mercedes at the entrance and a helicopter pad on the 28th floor, it is positioned on its own man-made island just off Jumeirah Beach. Head up to the Skyview Bar on the 27th floor for afternoon tea, it will make you feel as though you are a celebrity.
Dinner at the Atlantis hotel
The world-famous Atlantis Hotel has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions all around the world and it isn’t hard to see why. Home of the magnificent Aquaventure Water Park, featuring the thrilling “Leap of Faith” 90 foot long waterslide which goes through a tunnel surrounded by sharks. However, dining at the Atlantis Hotel is an altogether more thrilling experience, where your taste buds take their own trip to paradise with each bite.
