3 Great Date Ideas if You’re On a Budget
Planning a date doesn’t have to break the bank. If you’re looking to meet up with friends, finding something that fits your budget can be challenging. But have no fear: there are many great ideas for inexpensive date nights out, all of which are surprisingly fun and a great way to spend some time with your friends. That’s why I’ve put together this post on three great date ideas if you’re on a budget.
The Battle of the Burgers
The rule of thumb on dates with friends is that you shouldn’t try to spend more than you would on your trip out to a restaurant. Even if you feel like you’re blowing through your cash fast, you’ll be glad you didn’t blow too much because you’ll be out with your friends. I mean, who doesn’t like burgers? Grill & Chill is what it sounds like. It’s a heavenly place where you can munch on burgers, wings, and more food on the cheap. There’s even a special drinks menu that includes some fancy cocktails about a third of the cost of their surrounding bars. Bring some friends, order some drinks, pretend to be fancy and most of all, have fun!
The Movie Marathon
One of the best date ideas you can have with your friends is a movie marathon, particularly on a rainy or snowy weekend. You can use amazon cashback to save on many things. The Valentine’s Day Marathon Love is in the air this Valentine’s Day. What better way to commemorate than to have a marathon of your favorite rom-com’s or laugh out loud at the love stories in hilarious 2016 comedies. Whatever your vibe, I hope you have a romantic and unforgettable V-Day this year—the Day Trip. Have a busy schedule or simply not the time to drive out of the city and enjoy the outdoors? You can even make a trip to the drive-in movies. They are not expensive, and you get to watch two movies.
The Picnic
The picnic is one of the most straightforward date ideas for a group of friends. Head to the beach, take out your blankets, and prepare a spread of food. After a day in the sun, you can enjoy this meal under the stars. You don’t even have to spend a lot of money, either: many picnic baskets include sandwiches, fruit, and a few other items, but you can also make everything from pizza and dip to grilled chicken and guacamole. Just pick the spot you want to eat, pack everything up, and enjoy. You can also spread the costs even further by taking the leftovers to work for lunch the next day. If you want to create a more extensive picnic, go to a local park or public space. This way, you’ll have somewhere to eat, drink, and chat, but you won’t have to worry about cleaning up or bringing everything with you.
A lot of people have dated on a budget in the past, but it’s easy to forget that just because you have less money to spend doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time. It can be a great way to avoid feeling stressed out by paying too much on a date. In that case, you might find that it’s easier to hang out with your friends and keep the date pretty casual. Instead of getting caught up on the minor details, focus on having fun with your friends, and the rest will sink in clearly. After all, you want to have fun with the people you care about.
