Google Searchers: What They Want!

Google Searches is perhaps the single most effective and powerful search marketing strategy available today. However, it is not a strategy that works well for all of its searchers. To be successful, you must identify those searchers who are seeking your particular product or service. Google’s Keywords tool is a great place to start!

Google Keywords allows you to enter a particular search phrase (more than one word!) and Google will return thousands of related searches. You can choose from thousands of keywords in many categories. For example, if you wanted to target car buyers, you would simply enter the search term “car buyers” and Google will return relevant keywords. On the other hand, if you wanted to target mortgage seekers, you might type in something like “mortgage seekers” or “mortgage”.

As you can see, Google is fairly good at determining the best keywords for your website. The trick is using these keywords in the proper context. For instance, instead of targeting keywords such as “mortgage” and “buy”, you might want to try something like “mortgage”, “financial”, “financing”, “cautionary” and “risk”. When Google sees that your website contains these keywords in conjunction with other appropriate search engine terms, it will rate your site very high for relevancy and importance.

Once you have decided on the correct keywords for your website, you should focus on how you can incorporate them into the text on your site. To do this, make sure you use keywords that are searched by Internet users and also include them in your URL structure. If you do not have a website of your own, you may use your company’s URL as your domain name. This will allow you to build a presence within the major search engines and drive traffic to your site. When customers begin to find you on the Internet, your URL will direct them back to your website. Therefore, you will receive a great deal of free Internet traffic!

If you are unsure of how to select keywords for your SEO efforts, you can turn to Google’s keyword tool. This is one of the best ways to learn what are keywords are being searched for the most. If you enter the keyword in the Google Toolbar, you will be able to see not only the number of searches that have been conducted recently but also the volume over the past six months or year! (The amount of time that a keyword has been used for Google’s analysis does not have an impact on its ranking.) If you find a particular term that appears to be quite popular, you can take advantage of it by incorporating it into your site’s text.

Google Keyword Searches is not the only way for your business to benefit from being ranked highly for keywords. It is simply one method among many, to achieve this goal. Other SEO techniques such as link building, content creation, and social media can work as well or better than Google’s Keyword Tool when it comes to helping you rank well. Ultimately, it will come down to what your goals are regarding your website and how to optimize your site for the specific search phrases that you wish to target. Google will continue to be a major force in the SEO industry, but your website can help your business move up by positioning yourself for success!
