March 31 To May 28 Will Be The Dates For Ipl Live 2023

IPL Live Score 2023 will start on March 31 with the defending champions Gujarat Titans facing Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad. This is the league’s return to India’s traditional home-and-away format for the first time since 2019. The final will be played in Ahmedabad on May 28.

The IPL will begin five days following the conclusion of the inaugural Women’s Premier League. On Friday, Titans take on CSK, while Punjab Kings face off against Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali. Lucknow Super Giants take on Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow on Saturday, April 1st. Sunrisers Hyderabad takes on Rajasthan Royals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore plays Mumbai Indians at Bengaluru Sunday, April 2.

Apart from Ahmedabad being confirmed as the venue for the title clash, the schedule for the four playoff matches is not yet known.

Like last season, the teams were divided into two groups. The Mumbai Knight Riders Super Giants, Royals Knight Riders, Royals Capitals and Super Giants are in Group A, while the Super Kings, Royal Challengers Titans, Kings, Sunrisers and Super Kings make up Group B. Each team will play each other’s five teams twice, and four of their own groups once. This makes it 14 league games per team, unlike last season.

The league phase will consist of 70 matches over 52 days, covering 12 cities. It will also feature 18 double-headers. Apart from the 10 regular venues (Chenila, Bengaluru and Mumbai, Kolkata and Lucknow), Ahmedabad and Jaipur, and Mohali), some matches will also be played at Guwahati (the second home of the Royals) and Dharamsala (“the second home of the Kings”).

The Royals will be playing their first two home matches in Guwahati, and the rest in Jaipur. Kings will be playing their first five home matches at Mohali, and their last two in Dharamsala.

Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings at the 1000th IPL match

There will be 18 double-headers in the league phase, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Mumbai and Super Kings, the two most successful IPL teams, will be meeting twice on April 8th and May 6th. The second fixture will mark the 1000th match in the IPL’s history since 2008. Super Kings will, however, be returning to Chennai’s original venue, the MA Chidambaram Stadium or Chepauk in Chennai.

IPL 2019 was the last IPL that was played at all of the traditional Indian venues. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the tournament was moved to the UAE in 2020. It was initially scheduled to take place in March-May but had to be rescheduled for September-November.

There was an attempt to play during the Indian summer in 2021. However, a breach in the bio-secure bubble caused the season to be interrupted midway through. The second half of the season resumed in the UAE in September. The tournament was held in India’s March-May window, however, the entire league phase took place in Mumbai and Pune. The playoffs and finals were played in Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
