Press Release
BTCD Foundation: An AI-Powered Financial Operating System for Web3
The BTCD Foundation is building Bitcoind (BTCD), a next-generation AI-powered Layer 1 blockchain designed to make decentralised finance accessible to everyone. Unlike traditional blockchains that require capital and technical expertise, BTCD removes these barriers by enabling zero-capital participation and simplified user experiences.
BTCD integrates native AI at the protocol level, powering smart wallets, automated financial tools, SocialFi rewards, and AI-assisted decision making. Users can earn and participate through CPU/GPU activity and social engagement using everyday devices, making Web3 practical for students, freelancers, and everyday users.
Designed as a financial operating system, BTCD brings payments, savings, decentralised exchange, social interaction, and AI tools into one unified ecosystem. The network features a hybrid PoW + PoS architecture, ultra-low transaction fees, high scalability, and full EVM compatibility for developers.
Governance combines AI analytics with human-led DAO decision-making, ensuring long-term stability, transparency, and decentralisation.
With its public testnet scheduled for February 15, 2026, and mainnet launch on August 15, 2026, BTCD represents a shift from speculative blockchain use toward real-world financial utility.
